Welcome to Boy Scout Troop 210's web site!
Let me take a "Scoutmaster's Minute" to tell you about Boy Scouts and Troop 210.
Since 1965, Boy Scout Troop 210 at White Plains United Methodist in Cary, North Carolina has helped young men achieve success in life though scouting.
Our philosophy is simple:
- Let the boys run the troop
- Have plenty of adult volunteers to assist
- Keep the outing in Scouting through lots of outdoor activities
If you are looking for a troop that gives you the tools to succeed, Troop 210 is for you! We have had over 100 Eagle Scouts over 40+ years, but we are not an "Eagle factory." If you want to focus on scouting activities and not rank advancement, that is fine too!
On this web site, you will find out about our troop activities, hot links to other scouting related web sites, and additional scouting related information. You will learn why we think Boy Scouting is one of the most effective programs you will find to help a young boy gain the confidence and skills he needs to keep him on the path to becoming a fine young man.
If you would like to check us out in person, we meet on Monday nights at 7pm in the gymnasium of the Christian Life Center at White Plains United Methodist Church, 313 SE Maynard Road, Cary. Feel free to stop by and check us out when selecting a scout troop in which to participate.
My thanks to Chip Freund for the design of our new website; Dan Beauvais and Wes Smith for their help in creating and maintaining troop210.com over the years; and to the hundreds of scouts and scouters who have made Troop 210 the success it is today!
