This past weekend, Troop 210 went on a campout  to the Hammerstone Scout Museum. They arrived Friday night, set up camp and went to bed. The following morning, they had breakfast and then headed over to the Scout Museum where they saw lots of cool and historic things. While they were in the museum they saw a movie about scouting. When they got back to the campsite, they had lunch and started to cut down trees for firewood. Then the scouts split the firewood and got it all ready for a campfire. Then they had dinner and played games in the dark until it was time for lights out. The scouts who attended the campout were Alex Quarles, Zack Riggs, Tad Thornton, Matthew Lee, Josh Kosek, Sam Eyerman, Thomas Takseraas, James Patton, James Brooks, and Nate Hagan.

This past weekend, troop 210 went on a campout to Pamlico Sea Base. We arrived late friday night and set up camp. The next morning we woke up, ate breakfast, and got ready to go kayaking. We went out on the kayaks for a few hours and paddled around. After that we came in for lunch. After lunch we went back out on the kayaks and played around for a few hours just hanging out and having fun. At around 5, we came back in to have dinner. We then began to get ready for a campfire we were planning on having that night. After the campfire we all got ready for bed and quieted down. The following morning we cleaned up the campsite and headed home.

This past Monday Troop 210 took an evening trip to Cary Swim Club. The goal of this trip was to finish up the swimming merit badge for the younger scouts. The scouts not working on the merit badge were able to swim around and have fun. There was a PLC before the meeting and a committee meeting during it. Sadly, near the middle of the outing, there was a biological issue, causing the pool to shut down.

At the 9/26 PLC Meeting, the representatives had to make a change to the location of the November campout. Instead of going to Optimist Farms, we are going to Camp Reeves on November 19th to the 20th. At the campout we will be inviting Webelos to come and check out our troop. Some of the activities that we might do are fire building, tent set-up, fun knot-tying games, and more.
